White kratom is made from younger leaves that undergo a shorter fermentation process, producing a lighter-coloured powder. At 2.01% total alkaloid content, Great White comfortably sits above the two-percent threshold.
Alkaloid Profile: More Complex Than You'd Expect
Great White has a profile that defies the usual white-kratom stereotype. Mitragynine at 1.27% accounts for 63.2% of total alkaloids, solid, but notably lower in mitragynine dominance than White Elephant (67.9%). The interesting part is the speciociliatine: at 0.36%, representing 17.9% of total alkaloids, Great White carries the highest speciociliatine ratio of any white strain we test. Speciociliatine is the diastereomer of mitragynine that typically features more prominently in red strains. Its elevated presence in Great White gives this white a more complex character than its colour would suggest, paynantheine (0.22%) and speciogynine (0.15%) round out a well-distributed secondary alkaloid base.
